Apple Online Music Storage Service is Complete, Set to Launch Before Google’s?

Apple has reportedly completed work on its online music storage service and will launch ahead of similar service planned by Google, whose efforts have been stalled, according to Reuters.
The service will let iTunes customers store their music on a remote service and access them via the Internet from any of their devices. It’s still unclear whether Apple plans to launch with or without the labels approval.
The maker of the wildly popular iPhone and iPod, Apple has yet to sign any new licenses for the service and major music labels are hoping to secure deals before the service is launched, three of the sources said. Apple has not told its music partners of when it intends to introduce its music locker, they said.
