AT&T CEO all of a sudden doesn’t dig Apple’s App Store

Times change. using the previous three as well as a half years, AT&T CEO Randall Stephenson experienced positively nothing but type word for Apple and its ecosystem. even so at MWC this week, he took goal at Apple’s App Store.

“You purchase an app for one operating system, and if you want it on another device or platform, you have to buy it again,” he said. “That’s not how our customers expect to experience this environment.”

Clearly. that is why all of AT&T’s App store apps are coded in HTML5 so I can available them on my Verizon iPhone and Wifi iPad. UVerse is awesome that way.

Instead, he’s pushing the aptly named WAC or Wholesale programs Community, which could be truly a program that functions as one app store. The apps are then marketed with a broad range of fantastic cell phone firms near to the world, in stores that hold their exclusive brands.
