Untethered Jailbreak iOS 6.x Is Almost Here

The name of the 6.x jailbreak: evasi0n. They look to be about 75% done with the hack, private beta testing has started for OS X and Windows. evasi0n is going to support all iOS devices running iOS versions 6.0 to the just-released 6.1…

The exact wording from the new evasi0n website: “Compatible with iPhone, iPad or iPod running iOS 6.0 through 6.1 (you may check in Settings / General / About => Version).” And here’s a list of all of the devices that qualify.

• iPad 2
• iPod touch 4th generation
• iPhone 4S
• iPad 3
• iPod touch 5th generation
• iPhone 5
• iPad mini
• iPad 4
• Apple TV 2

iOS 6.x Requirement:

• 5 minutes of your time!
• A computer, running Windows (XP minimum), Mac OS X (10.5 minimum) or Linux (x86 / x86_64)
• An iPhone, iPad or iPod running iOS 6.0 through 6.1 (you may check in Settings / General / About => Version)
• A USB cable to connect the device to the computer
